1st Semester Reflection

1. Quality of work:
I feel that during this semester, my quality of work has been pretty good. In the beginning of the year I did not know how to use Photoshop at all, so my work quality was not good. As the semester progressed, I became more comfortable using the application and have improved my work. I have been doing more with my assignments this quarter than the last quarter, and I feel like my projects are more complex and better designed than they used to be. I always have completed my work on time and work efficiently, and I feel that this has never been an issue for me. I think of many ideas and I use my favorite one.

2. Effort
I usually look for a challenging topic that will not be too easy or too difficult to the point where I will not be able to complete the assignment. I usually change my project once I start on it, so I am still planning while I am working. I try to use new tools that I haven't used before because it widens my knowledge of the subject. I do not avoid ideas that seem too difficult, but I also do not take every opportunity to do a very difficult assignment. I take more technical risks than others because I use tools that I don't know how to use on my projects when I work on them. I have a positive attitude when looking at other students work.

3. Participation
I am always on time to this class unless I am late to school or have something going on during school that will prevent me from attending. I try to work as much as I can throughout the period, and add as much as I can to my projects. I don't work with others in this class unless it is a part of the assignment. I never have anybody do my work for me or vice versa. I always make the most of the time I have.

4. Improvement
I tend to draw my own photos, rather than pulling one from the internet. I like to do that more than using one from the internet because it looks better in my eyes, and it is more challenging and time consuming than using on offline. I have technically improved because I now use the photoshop tools more and I have learned more about the computer. I feel much more confident using photoshop than I did at the beginning of the year. I've improved a lot. My concepts are also stronger because I am more comfortable with the subject than I used to be.

5. Adjustment
Next semester, I plan to improve my ability to use photoshop. I am going to further challenge myself as well. I would like to experiment with new tools that I haven't gotten a chance to try out. I think that I would like to see another project using a gif be incorporated into the next semester.
